Recommendation 1
=================
This promising Canadian company engages in the formulation, manufacture, clinical testing, registration and and commercialization of pharmaceutical products in Canada, USA, Puerto Rico, Barbados and other countries.
Their main focus is on central nervous system disorders, cardiovascular disease and pain management.
Recently, this company agreed to pay a $138 million lawsuit that has momentarily lowered the value of their stock.
Also,the FDA pushed back its drug review of their new anti-depressant medication, from 60 days to 6 months, causing the stock price to fall further.
Despite the setbacks, this company is optimistic about its future. The decline in price has created a promising opportunity for its investors.
Analyst price projections for 2008 is set about 30% higher than its current level.
Combine this with a current dividend yield of 10.3% and you have a fantastic opportunity for double-digit, conservative gains in 2008.
The fundamentals, a low P/E and PEG, combined with a high ROE and generous dividend yield, promise investors a healthy gain.

=================Recommendation 2 ================= In October of 2006, Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty announced that begiining 2011 all canadian income trusts would be taxed. This sent a shock to income trust investors. Many of these Income Trusts were paying distributions as high as 17%. Investors began to dump them and share values dropped on average about 20%. However, what many investors failed to realize was that this cash cow would remain in-tact until atleast 2011, and maybe longer. I have isolated a Trust that is currently the largest in North America. It has over 480 million proven barrels of oil. This company has maintained a conservative dividend policy throughout its short history. The annual dividend yield for the past 5 years has been 11.1%. Its currently paying out over 15%. The share price has fluctuated from $25 to $36 for the past 52 weeks. This is a stable company with massive proven reserves. It is unlikely that the share price will fluctuate wildly in either direction. The dividend yield is likely to stay high atleast until 2011. Canada is three times the size of the USA and has vast amounts of natural resources. It is my opinion, that as exploration and production continue, the canadian economy shall only get stronger. I sometimes wonder why these generous high income trusts have fallen out of favor. They are still one of the best conservative investments on the market. This particular Canadian Income Trust will most assuredly pay double-digit dividends with a high degree of safety all the way up to 2011. ================================================================= Company: Penn West Energy Trust Symbol: PWE ================================================================= Disclaimer: I am not a registered investment advisor.
